For Immediate Release

TEMPE, Ariz., September 19, 2006 – ArmorWorks, a leading provider of advanced armor products, today announced that the U.S. Navy has selected ArmorWorks as the exclusive provider of upgraded armor for its Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) hovercraft. The company has received a $4.6 million initial delivery order to immediately begin upgrading the armor on the Navy’s LCAC fleet. This exclusive contract award resulted from an open and competitive bidding process in which technology and quality were important factors in the Navy’s selection of ArmorWorks.

“This new contract demonstrates the versatility of our combat proven C2 ceramic armor technology to naval applications,” said Bill Perciballi, CEO and president of ArmorWorks. “We are excited that ArmorWorks’ life-saving products will protect the sailors and marines who serve on the Navy’s most sophisticated amphibious landing craft.”

The LCAC provides the Navy with high-speed capability to transport troops, combat vehicles, and supplies across land and sea. In addition to ArmorWorks’ key role in supplying body armor, the company supplies its patented advanced armor products to all branches of the U.S. Military for aircraft, land vehicles, and watercraft, such as the LCAC.
