U.S. Government Awards ArmorWorks $5.2 Million Side Armor

Defense Supply Center Philadelphia Procures ESBI for U.S. Air
Force

Chandler, Ariz. – April 17, 2007 –ArmorWorks Enterprises, LLC,
a leading provider of advanced survivability products,
today announced the receipt of a contract from The Defense
Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) for Enhanced Side Ballistic
Inserts (ESBI) for the U.S. Air Force. These advanced
ballistic inserts protect the side of the torso with
state-of-the-art ceramic and composite armor technology. This
contract will be fulfilled by July 2007.
ArmorWorks’ ESBI provides the same advanced armor protection
as the company’s proven Small Arms Protective Inserts (SAPI)
and Enhanced Small Arms Protective Inserts (ESAPI) all of
which are used in the U.S. Military’s Interceptor body armor
system.

As previously announced, the U.S. Marine Corps awarded
ArmorWorks a $5.6 million contract for S-SAPI in March 2007.
The U.S. Army awarded the company a $543 million indefinite
delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for ESBI in
2006.
