ArmorWorks Files Complaint in U.S.
District Court Against Ceramic Protection Corporation, Ceramic
Protection Corporation of America, and Certain Individuals
For Immediate Release
TEMPE, Ariz.,
September 13, 2006 – ArmorWorks,
a leading provider of advanced armor products,
today announced the filing of a Complaint on
the 11th of September 2006 in the United States
District Court for the District of Arizona against Ceramic
Protection Corporation, Ceramic Protection Corporation of
America, and certain individuals.
The Complaint alleges and seeks recovery of
damages for breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant
of good faith and fair dealing, breach of warranty, fraud,
tortious interference with contract, tortious interference
with business expectancy, misappropriation of trade secrets
and violation of the Lanham Act
and unfair competition. ArmorWorks alleges
damages of not less than $60,000,000 dollars. ArmorWorks also
alleges that it is entitled to an award of punitive damages in
an amount not less than five times the actual damages.
ArmorWorks has demanded a jury trial.
The Complaint contends that Ceramic Protection
Corporation is a Canadian corporation with its head office in
Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Its stock trades on the Toronto
Stock Exchange (TSX) under the stock symbol CEP.
The Complaint asserts that Ceramic Protection
Corporation of America, formerly known as ALANX Wear
Solutions, Inc., is a Delaware Corporation.
