ArmorWorks Awarded $18 Million Contract to
Provide Armor for M915 Truck

TEMPE, Ariz. – August 11, 2005 – The
U.S Army Tank and Automotive Command (TACOM) in Warren, Mich.
has awarded Tempe-based ArmorWorks an $18 million delivery
order for the production of Crew Protection Kits for the U.S.
Army’s M915 tactical truck.
Manufactured
using the latest ceramic composite technology, the ArmorWorks
armor kits will provide the M915 Tractor Cab and its personnel
with much-needed protection against small arms fire,
improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and roadside bombs like
those encountered in Iraq.
